Join us on our Farm Tour, which runs Friday and Saturday from 10am to 11.30am. This tour is open to all members of the public and is suitable for all ages.  


Explore the farm with one of our experienced tours guides. You will meet and greet a halter trained alpaca or llama for an adorable photo that will make all your friends and family jealous. Our happy herd will be racing to the fence when they see you and the tasty treats you will have the chance to feed them.


You will enjoy an exciting and educational talk on the steps involved to get the fibre from the paddock to a finish product. You will finish off the tour with a complimentary morning tea (tea/coffee/soft drink and small snack) to enjoy while you watch our herds grazing in their paddocks. 

Duration: 1.5 hours (approx.)

  • Meet and greet with a halter trained alpaca or llama.
  • Tasty treats to hand feed your new fluffy best friends while standing in one of our picturesque paddocks.
  • A guided tour of the farm where you will find the answers to all your alpaca and llama questions.

  • A visit to The Blackwattle Farm Shop which is full of yarns, wools, fibre, roving, packs, gifts, toys and goodies galore!
  • A complimentary coffee/tea/soft drink and small snack.

Adults $40pp

Children (3-9 years of ages) $30pp

Children aged 2 years and under - Free of Charge (with a paying adult). 


Special Notes:

  • This is not a private tour and is open to all members of the public. 
  • You will get the chance to interact with a halter trained llama or alpaca however you will not be taking the animal on an extended walk. If you wish to do so we recommend booking an Alpaca Interactive Tour or Alpaca Walking Tour.
  • You will be entering the paddock where the animals live, so please ensure you listen to and abide by all instructions that are given to you.
  • Our alpacas and llamas are not restrained in the paddock, as such they are free to engage in or leave the hand feeding portion of the tour as they choose.
  • Please wear enclosed shoes to the farm and gumboots if it has been raining.
